On December 30, Foshan Industrial Design Week 2020 and the Work Exhibition of 2020 Foshan “Mayor Cup” Industrial Design Competition kicked off at the New Shiwan Art Museum, which is open to the public for free from December 30, 2020 to January 3, 2021. 

  

  

At the opening ceremony, the Industrialization Service Alliance of Design Achievements was established, with more than 20 enterprise members. 

  

  

The activity has totally collected 3,801 works of 220 enterprises, 158 universities and a large number of freelance designers from 87 regions across the country, covering advantaged traditional industries such as home appliances, furniture, ceramics, machinery and equipment, as well as optoelectronics, new materials, medical devices, robots and other emerging industries.

    

  

During the activity, a series of activities such as Experience Sharing of Excellent Projects, Design Industrialization Docking and Exchange Meeting, and theme seminars will be held, which will build a platform for the promotion of industrial exchanges and achievement transformation.

  

  

This years "Mayor Cup" has introduced technical research services, design services and other industrialization service resources from Foshan, the Greater Bay Area and the whole country, which can help expand the influence of excellent design products in the market, promote the industrialization of conceptual design results, and realize the market value of design results. Besides, it can also enhance the brand influence and popularity of the “Mayor Cup” by promoting the transformation and industrialization of design achievements through competitions.

   

  

The work exhibition of the competition has also provoked impassioned responses from audiences. Audience showed great interests in and experience the novel and unique products in the exhibition.

   

In the future, the “Mayor Cup” will continuously help Foshan become the pole city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a leader with high-quality development among the prefecture-level cities in Guangdong, and a global-oriented national manufacturing innovation center.
