Recently, a batch of sanitary ware products exported by Foshan Korra Import and Export Co., Ltd. finished customs clearance process at Sanshui Port and were shipped to Nansha Port for export through barges filed on the "GBA Yigangtong" Platform (a project for export enterprises to finish customs clearance at one port), marking the first successful export business after the trial operation of the "GBA Yigangtong" Project in Sanshui District, Foshan.
Since January 2021, Guangzhou Customs has promoted the "GBA Yigangtong" Project, which has been comprehensively promoted and implemented in the ports and terminals in the Pearl River Delta, including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Yunfu and Shaoguan. After launching the "GBA Yigangtong", export goods that have completed customs clearance process at Sanshui Port can be directly loaded to large cargo ships for export through designated barges to Nansha Port, so as to realize the rapid customs clearance of the export goods transshipped through Nansha Port within "7X24" hours.
Compared with the traditional customs clearance modes such as water transportation and international transit, the "GBA Yigangtong" can not only provide better export freight logistics resources for export enterprises and greatly alleviate the difficulty of obtaining available containers for exports, but also reduce the cost of customs clearance and increase the efficiency of customs clearance. According to Foshan Customs, Sanshui Port currently exports about 50,000 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) each year. If all the TEUs are exported through this mode, export enterprises can save more than 500,000 yuan in direct costs every year, and the time cost of customs clearance will be greatly reduced as well.
In order to ensure the timely launch of the "GBA Yigangtong" Project in Foshan, Foshan Customs has continuously increased its support to enterprises, actively implemented the "GBA Yigangtong" reform project and preferential policies to terminal operators and export enterprises, and made great efforts to promote the rapid launch of the "GBA Yigangtong" Project, so as to help export enterprises enjoy the new benefits of customs clearance reform in the new year.
