On January 24, Guangdongs first cross-border e-commerce experimental zone for agricultural products officially settled in Lishui, Foshan. It is planned to build a Guangdongs leading and nationally well-known cross-border e-commerce zone for agricultural products within 3 to 5 years.

With the combination of online and offline methods, industry experts, enterprise representatives and other guests conducted in-depth discussions and extensive publicity on cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products on site in the form of forums, cross-border live streaming promotion, short video presentations, online promotion of Guangdong featured agricultural products, etc.

Specifically, Lishui will establish six major functional areas, including business and finance, flower cultivation, production and trade, agricultural tourism demonstration, agricultural science and education, and warehousing and logistics, which will build a comprehensive center integrating cultivation, science and technology, distribution, education and new international trade for cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products.

In order to promote the construction of the experimental zone, Lishui Town has established Foshan Nanhai Dreamland Waterside Village Digital Agriculture Corporation to co-ordinate various resources, helping Lishui Towns agricultural products enter overseas markets.

At present, Lishui Town has signed contracts with more than 30 enterprises engaging in agricultural products, cross-border e-commerce and other fields. Next, Dreamland Waterside Village Digital Agriculture Corporation will work on the flower supply chain platform, the upgrading and transformation of 13 logistics parks in the experimental zone, and add cold chain logistics distribution function.
