Recently, a number of travel agencies in Foshan have released a variety of tourism routes in local and surrounding areas.

Yang Hui, Senior Manager of the Public Affairs Department of Ctrip, said that Chuanlord Tourism & Leisure Expo Park, Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, Shunde OCT Harbor Plus, Midea Egret Lake Hot Spring and Midea Egret Lake Forest Resort rank the top five popular local travel destinations in Foshan, according to Ctrips data analysis.

As more people choose to spend the Spring Festival holiday locally, major online tourism platforms and travel agencies have released concessions such as consumer subsidies and top-selling product discounts targeting at local scenic spots tickets.

Holiday hotels and guesthouses are popular as well. Hot spring hotels, as well as high-end hotels with special themes of family rooms, are particularly favored by consumers.

Zhang Yan, Deputy General Manager of China Travel Service (Foshan), said that the open environment and multiple functions of hotels provide more space for recreation and relaxation, and "hotel vacation" has become one of the most popular tourism ways for people to spend this year’s Spring Festival. "At present, the combination of hotel and good food is the most popular," said Zhang.

Zhang Yan also reminded that when booking hotels, customers shall understand and obey the epidemic prevention requirements of the hotel. All hotels have formulated corresponding epidemic prevention measures, such as providing health QR codes, checking body temperature and wearing masks before check-in.
