On January 24, focusing on intelligent city, intelligent industries and the development achievements of 5G network, the Conference of "Intelligent Sanshan Area" Construction in Nanhai Area of Foshan Sanlongwan High-end Innovation Cluster (Sanlongwan) was held at Sanshan Science and Technology Innovation Center.

Promote the construction of 5G infrastructure

Currently, Nanhai area of Sanlongwan has achieved full 5G coverage. According to statistics, by January 24, four major telecommunication companies have jointly built 166 5G base stations in Nanhai area of Sanlongwan, taking the lead in achieving full coverage of 30.3 square kilometers of 5G network.

Empower “intelligent city” services

Since July 2019, the construction and development of 5G in Nanhia area of Sanlongwan has achieved initial results. The intelligent project of Sanlongwan Avenue with an investment of about 150 million yuan is basically completed. 

Nanhai area of Sanlongwan also focuses on the application of 5G technology in public services and other key areas. For instance, the reading station and intelligent convenience store built in Sanshan Forest Park provide all-day intelligent unmanned services.

Introduce emerging industries

In view of 5G development opportunities, Nanhai area of Sanlongwan has accelerated the introduction and cultivation of industrial Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, new media, e-sports and other emerging industries.

The settlement of Guangdong Unicom Greater Bay Area (Foshan) Data Center and other projects has provided a solid foundation for the transformation of 5G technology achievements, while the settlement of Huya, Foxconn and other leading enterprises will attract a large number of high-quality technical talents as well as upstream and downstream enterprises.
