Exhibition Hall for Canton Fair

On April 15th (this Thursday), the 129th Canton Fair will be held online. According to Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as “the Bureau”), 442 Foshan enterprises have already booked for this important annual event, supported by 1,472 booths (506 for local brands and 894 for general) that outnumber the majority of Guangdong cities.

Exhibitors from Foshan include some of the most famous brands – Midea, Galanz, CHIGO, DONLIM, VWanward, WINTO, EAGLE CEREMEICS and DONGPENG CEREMEICS, displaying products like electrical appliances, building materials, furniture, lighting, and daily light industry products. In order to provide a more smooth access for enterprises, the Bureau has worked hard on providing better services this year.

Due to the ongoing pandemic worldwide, China has taken surging orders from industries related to “stay-at-home economy” and medical apparatus. Foshan, as a powerful manufacturing city in China, has seen industrial growth in small-scale household appliances and furniture. Statistically, Foshan has scored a trade volume of 413.12 billion yuan in 2020, with a year-on-year increase of 10.8%; in the first two months in 2021, Foshan has already registered 124.07 billion yuan in import and export, an increase of 84.9% compared to the same period last year, surpassing other nine cities in the Pearl River Delta. Mechanical, electrical products and ceramics are the most wanted orders for foreign buyers.
