On May 25, the opening ceremony of Zemu Staduim was launched in Lishui Town, Nanhai District.

Covering over 8,000 square meters, the two-storey Zemu Stadium is situated in the core area of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area where Guangzhou and Foshan meet, equipped with fitness and recreational facilities such as indoor 50-meter heated swimming pools, gyms, sauna rooms as well as courts for basketball, badminton, tennis and table tennis.

It is worth mentioning that the natatorium is one of the four teaching & training venues certified by Fédération Internationale de Natation Association (FINA) in China and the only world-class stadium designated to host sport events in southeast China where all facilities meet the requirement of holding national and even international games.

Reportedly, the stadium is boasted with a professional coach team, including retired national and provincial team athletes and several coaches with certification by World Swimming Coaches Association (WSCA).

It was revealed that the stadium will host the FINA Junior Short Course World Championship. As for the upcoming event, junior athletes with excellent performance from China will be invited to attend the game.
