Since June 10th, based on the latest priorities designated by the Guangdong Provincial Government, Foshan has made timely adjustment with its vaccine immunization strategy to ensure the "second shot" for citizens aged from 18 to 59. As of 10:00 on June 16th, the city has scaled up to 10 million doses of vaccination for 6.57 million people.

So far, tangible progress has been made in mass vaccination. According to Foshan Disease Control and Prevention Center, for those who have been vaccinated the "first shot", they are encouraged to receive the "second shot" at the right timing. It is believed that, as more people get vaccinated, herd immunity against COVID-19 can be built in Foshan.
