Updates on COVID-19 cases 

in Guangdong (June 17) 

On June 16, 4 new local cases were confirmed in Guangdong. 

By 07:00 on June 17, Foshan has reported no new local confirmed cases for 13 consecutive days. 

As of 24:00 on June 16, Shenzhen has reported 3 new imported confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 2 from South Africa and 1 from Lesotho. In addition, 11 imported asymptomatic cases have been reported in Guangdong, with 5 in Guangzhou (2 from France and the rest from Bangladesh, Myanmar and Mali respectively), 1 in Shenzhen (from South Sudan), 4 in Foshan (2 from Democratic Republic of the Congo and the rest from Ghana and Liberia respectively) and 1 in Zhongshan (from UAE). 2 patients were discharged on June 16. 

By 24:00 on June 16, Guangdong has reported a total of 2657 confirmed COVID-19 cases (with 1101 imported cases). Currently there are 218 patients in hospital.
