Gaohe Wharf of Gaoming Port, Foshan entered construction stage on June 29.

To make sure that the project can be completed on schedule, all parties involved have been on hectic schedules. 

Reportedly, the wharf, with a total investment of 736 million yuan, spans along a shoreline of 276 meters and covers a land area of 170,700 square meters. Four berths for 2,000-ton inland container and two berths for 3,000-ton ocean-going vessels will be added. The wharf will have a capacity for 5,000-ton container ships, with target throughput of 500,000 standard containers and an annual cargo turnover of 520,000 strandard containers.

Once the wharf is put into use, Gaoming port is expected to achieve a rapid turnover, so as to expand the export and import of the local enterprises and empower the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
