As the recently released Eleme 2021 summer nightlife report reveals, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Changsha became the first-tier active cities in summer nights, and Foshan, Dongguan, Xiamen and Sanya were among the new first-tier cities list.

 

 

According to statistics from Eleme, since this summer, more than 80% of restaurants in Foshan have extended their business hours to after 21:00. The number of restaurants offering midnight snacks delivery service has increased by more than 30%, and the activeness of night-time restaurants in Foshan is significantly higher than in other cities.

 

In terms of night-time delivery service, more than 70% delivery men worked at night in Foshan, ranking among top 10 in China. After 21:00, active customers asking for delivery service in Foshan account for more than 30%. 40% of takeaway orders come from office buildings, shopping malls, hotels and so on.

 

One interesting thing is that the most popular night snack in Foshan is rice noodles cooked with river snails! Data shows that the proportion of night orders for river snails rice noodles in Foshan is almost four times of the national average ratio. Because most of the takeaway owners offering river snails rice noodles are from Guangxi Province, people commented that the taste of river snails rice noodles in Foshan is as authentic as in Liuzhou.
