Foshan China 2024-09-10 09:53

On September 7, a convoy of vehicles carrying heavy national defense equipment made a striking appearance in Sanlongwan Sci-tech City, capturing the excitement of local residents. The impressive display of military hardware drew significant attention from onlookers as it traveled through major city streets including Sanle West Road, Foshan Avenue, Kuiqi Road, Dongping Bridge, Lingnan South Road, and Huayang South Road, before returning to the Foshan Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The convoy showcased cutting-edge Chinese military technology, including the formidable Type 99A main battle tank, the WZ-10 attack helicopter, the J-20 stealth fighter, and the J-10B fighter jet. This rare opportunity allowed citizens to experience the power of national defense up close.

All the hardware presented will be later displayed in the upcoming 2024 Foshan Aerospace and Defense Expo. The event will be held from September 15 to October 7 at the Foshan Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of over 20,000 square meters and featuring more than 500 exhibits. The expo will be divided into two core thematic areas: "Fortify the Nation, Strengthen the Military" and "Chasing the Dream of Aerospace."

The "Fortify the Nation, Strengthen the Military" zone will focus on land, sea, air, and future technologies, offering an immersive experience with experimental setups, VR, AR, and simulator driving projects. This section aims to combine scientific knowledge with interactive entertainment, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the strength and pride of national defense. The "Chasing the Dream of Aerospace" zone will highlight the development of China's space technology, featuring actual space equipment, models, scientific devices, and interactive experiences to provide a comprehensive look at the country's aerospace achievements.

Compared to previous exhibitions, this year's event will feature a larger exhibition area, extended duration, and enhanced interactive experiences. Visitors can engage in over 50 interactive activities, including simulated shooting with the QBZ-95 assault rifle and the QSZ-92 pistol, flight simulation, VR aircraft carrier experiences, and Shenzhou spacecraft landing simulations. The expo will also host regular lectures by military experts to discuss advancements in defense technology and answer questions from the audience.

Organized by Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Co., Ltd. and supported by the China Association for Science and Technology and relevant national defense units, the 2024 Foshan Aerospace and Defense Expo is expected to attract around 300,000 visitors. This event is expected to invigorate Foshan's cultural and tourism market with its dynamic presentation of military and aerospace technology.
