"2024 marks the 7th anniversary of the MICHELIN Guide in Guangzhou. Seven years during which our Inspectors have passionately been scouting the city, witnessing the evolution of its culinary scene and being impressed by its steady progression. At the MICHELIN Guide, we have been glad and proud to showcase the city's numerous culinary wonders not only to locals but also to national and international food lovers and travelers," said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. "By developing impressive initiatives or taking first steps towards sustainability, some restaurants have also demonstrated interesting commitments that are a true source of inspiration for the whole industry – one of them even receiving the MICHELIN Green Star for the very first time in Guangzhou. For that, we are delighted to highlight by rewarding for the very first time the MICHELIN Green Star to one restaurant."

The MICHELIN Green Star makes its debut in Guangzhou this year, highlighting one restaurant: Yong. In addition to paying great attention to Chinese cultural heritage, historical buildings, antique ceramics, and authentic craftsmanship, Yong makes extensive use of local ingredients, many of which are pickled and fermented in-house to create unique dishes. The restaurant also eliminates the use of plastic and collects leftover ingredients to cleverly prepare sauces for dishes.

It is worth mentioning that the five-star platinum hotel, "LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou," has three restaurants on the list, including Taian Table, Stiller, and The Peach Blossom (Yuexiu), making it the only hotel in China that has one Michelin two-star restaurant, one Michelin one-star restaurant, and a MICHELIN-Selected restaurant.

Installed in the LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou, Taian Table has a private gourmet secret garden in the city center with an exquisite open kitchen. The restaurant has maintained the brand's luxurious style. It selects only the best seasonal ingredients from around the world and reflects the beauty of nature. The Stiller restaurant is located next to the Taian Table. It is also managed by chef Stiller and bears his name. Like the Taian Table, the Stiller restaurant follows the contemporary European style of cuisine but also innovates with new pairings and flavors. And Peach Blossom is the classic Chinese restaurant in Guangzhou. It is managed by the internationally acclaimed five-star chef Wen Sien, whose specialty is traditional Chinese cuisine.
