To manage the holiday travel rush, the Guangzhou-Zhaoqing and Guangzhou-Huizhou intercity railways have added a total of 15 pairs of EMU passenger trains and 43 operating trains on top of the scheduled daily operation of 86 passenger trains.

Guangdong Intercity Railway emphasizes the requirement for real-name authentication for passengers, with separate entry and exit gates for different ticketing. Passengers using physical cards or intercity travel codes can enter and exit through red gates, while those purchasing tickets via the railway ticket-booking website, 12306.cn, can use blue gates.

Real-name authentication is available only through official Guangzhou Metro apps or self-service centers at stations, applicable for passengers aged 14 and above.
