留尼汪岛地理位置。
留尼汪是西印度洋中的一个火山岛。西距马达加斯加650公里，东北距毛里求斯190公里。1649年，法国人将该岛改名为波旁岛。1793年改名为留尼汪（意为联合）。1946年以来，成为法国的“海外省”。
Reunion is a French overseas island located in the midst of the Indian Ocean, 650 kilometers east of the island of Madagascar, and 190 kilometers South-West of Mauritius. The island was previously known as île Bourbon, and changed to Reunion in 1793. It became a region of France and an overseas department of France in 1946.

La Possession is located on the northwest side of the island of Reunion, between the capital of Saint-Denis and the commune of Le port. Its terrain extends from the coast to the mountains, covering an area of 118.2 square kilometers with a population of 18,000. This enchanting destination is blessed with a tropical and dry climate, beautiful costal scenes, and formidable mountain landscapes.
波塞雄市的沿海地区有建筑业，交通，通讯，食品等工业，市中心商业活动频繁。体育在该市占有很重要的地位，市内建有田径体育场，游泳池、网球场、摩托车障碍赛道、体操馆、柔道馆、空手道馆等场地。
Industries of construction, transportation, communication, food and others are found in the costal area of La Possession and commercial activities are frequent in downtown. Sports play an important role in the city where sports venues like track and field stadiums, swimming pools, tennis courts, motorcycle obstacle courses, gymnastics halls, judo gyms, karate halls etc. are well equipped.

佛山市与法属留尼汪波塞雄市于1997年4月11日建立友好城市关系。双方互派团组先后进行友好访问，就经贸、文化、旅游等方面的合作途径和方法进行探讨。
Foshan and La Possession established sister-city relations on April 11, 1997. Since then, the two cities have had regular mutual friendly visits to discuss ways of cooperation in economy, trade, culture, tourism etc.

2006年2月23-27日，应佛山市政府邀请，波赛雄市市长罗伯特率波市政府代表团一行6人对佛山市进行了友好访问。图为波塞雄市代表在时任佛山市外事侨务局领导陪同下拜访省侨办。
2015年11月，佛山市政府代表团赴留尼旺波塞雄市访问，双方就两市友好合作进行了坦诚务实的交流。
